Pre-Order Policy


What is a pre-order?

The pre-order item is an item which you have the chance to purchase in preview from our newest upcoming collection or a limited edition. It means that at the time of purchase, the item has not yet been manufactured, and when ordered it is not immediately available in our inventory. Once you proceed to checkout it is important to verify if the products in your cart are pre-order items or not. Delivery times may vary for pre-orders.

 

 

What are the advantages of buying a pre-order item?

The advantage of buying an item on pre-order is that you can guarantee the cloth diaper print or item you want without risking that it sells out as soon as it is available in our inventory. The demand for these cloth diaper prints or items may be high, and for this reason, their availability can run out within minutes of their release as in-stock products on our website. Pre-order pricing is typically less expensive than retail pricing, allowing customers who opt to pre-order and wait for their items to be manufactured to take advantage of exclusive savings. 

 

 

How long will it take to ship out my pre-order?

Waiting times vary from item to item, and customer orders only ship out once ALL items in the order become available. In the title of a pre-order item you will find an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) date. This ETA date is an estimated month in which the item will become available at our facility. This ETA date is NOT a guarantee-by date that your order will be delivered to your doorstep.

Usually, the manufacturing process takes 8 - 10 weeks from the date of publication of the item. Once manufacturing is complete, our manufacturer will ship all of the items in bulk to our facility and shipping timeframes vary from 2 - 4 weeks. Once the pre-ordered items are received by Forever My Babies, our team completes a thorough inventory, begins sorting the items and packing customer orders. Typically customers will receive email notification of their order’s tracking number within 2 weeks of items becoming available at our facility. Customer orders will only ship once all items on the order are available, so please note that ordering a mix of items from different monthly pre-orders or including in-stock items with pre-ordered items may extend your wait time for your order to be shipped. 

 

 

Can delays occur and if so can I cancel my order?

Delays can occur at any step of the manufacturing process, during shipping from the manufacturer to our facility, during in-processing of newly available pre-order items, and even during shipping from our company to the customer. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, unexpected delays may occur. Forever My Babies is not liable for manufacturer delays, border customs delays, or shipping courier delays.  Please understand that our ETA dates are estimated months that your item will become available in our facility, and not guarantee-by dates that your item will be delivered to your doorstep. 

In the unlikely event of a delay, we will update our Pre-Order Status page with an announcement and provide information on newly adjusted ETA dates. Customers are able to cancel pre-order items, but a 30% re-stocking fee will be deducted from your refund. When a customer orders a pre-order item, that item is specifically made for you. Forever My Babies will only waive the 30% re-stocking fee and offer full refunds for pre-order items that are experiencing delays in excess of 60 days from the last day of the month of the ETA date.

 


What happens if one or more of my pre-order items will not be available?

In rare cases, the manufacturer is unable to produce enough of a particular pre-order item. This can occur if many of the items failed quality inspection, or mistakes were made when packing the bulk order and Forever My Babies’ inventory assessment finds a shortage. Sometimes customers will have the option to wait longer to receive a separate delivery of the unavailable pre-order item, without delaying the shipment of the rest of their order. In all cases, our Customer Care Team will contact affected customers and offer the option of a full refund for the unavailable item. This only applies to items that are unavailable due to quality or inventory accuracy issues, not items that are delayed because the entire pre-order collection is experiencing manufacturer, customs, or shipping carrier delays. 

 

 

Can I combine in stock and pre-order items?

Absolutely yes! You can:

- Place a combined order and wait for the items in pre-order to arrive. In this case, the whole order will be on hold and dispatched for shipping when all items in the order become available.

- If you would like to receive in-stock items as soon as possible, please place a separate order with only in-stock items, and a separate order with pre-order items you are willing to wait a few months for. 

 

 

Can I cancel a pre-order item?

Yes you can, we accept cancellation requests for any reason, however a 30% re-stocking fee will be assessed and deducted from your refund. When you pre-order an item, that item is specifically manufactured for you, and therefore we must apply a 30% re-stocking fee if you decide to cancel. Pre-order items that have been dispatched for shipping to the customer cannot be cancelled. 

In the event that a pre-order item is experiencing delays in excess of 60 days from the last day of the ETA date, then our Customer Care Team will waive the 30% re-stocking fee and offer a full refund. 

 

 

Can I amend my order?

No, unfortunately once you place your order it cannot be amended. 

 

I placed multiple orders, can I request to combine shipping and have them shipped together?

Yes! Please send our Customer Care Team an email and we are happy to assist you. We will review your orders and let you know if there is any cost savings to combining shipping, and what your new estimated wait timeframe will look like because the combined order will only ship when all items in all orders become available. Shipping cost savings will be refunded to you.

 

 

How will Pre-Order Status Updates be communicated to me?

Pre-Order status updates can be found directly on our website on the Pre-Order Status page in our menu. Customers should check this status page regularly. Due to the volume of customer orders we get for each pre-order, we do not send individual emails to customers with pre-order status updates or pre-order delays. Customers will receive an order confirmation email and an email notification when their tracking number has been generated. If customers opt for text notifications instead of email, then texts will be sent to the phone number on the order instead of emails for order confirmation and shipping notification. 


 

I moved and my address has changed since I placed my order. Can I update my address? 

Yes! Send an email to our Customer Care Team right away to request an address update. It is important to set up mail forwarding with the USPS and other mail couriers to ensure you receive all of your mail to your new address. Our Customer Care Team can update the address on your order only if you contact us prior to receiving a shipping notification with your tracking number. For each address change request, our Customer Care Team will ask for confirmation that the new address we entered onto your order is correct. If you do not receive a response for confirmation, contact us again to verify your address is changed. Forever My Babies is not liable for packages received to addresses on customer orders where the customer no longer lives, or packages returned to sender. It is the customer’s responsibility to set up mail forwarding and request and confirm address change prior to shipping. 

 

 

Will my pre-order item look exactly like the picture?

The pre-order photos are digital previews of items that have not been manufactured yet. There may be slight variations in color and print placement due to the production process. Any major appearance or design changes will be communicated to customers via email.
